writing transitions powerpoint
I need help with a powerpoint slideshow. I want to have some slides slower transitioning than others,?

Powerpoint Slideshow.
I am trying to transition some slides slower than other but everytime I apply it to the master it just applies it to all the slides. There is a button that says apply to master and apply to all slides. I keep picking the master one but regardless it applies to all of them. I need some of them to be slower since they have writing on them! I am having a hell of a time trying to figure this out..can anyone help?

You don’t want to apply it to the master slide as all the slides built from the master will inherit the same properties.

Here’s what to do:
In Normal view with the slides all lined up on the left side, right-click the slide you want to change transition. Select slide Transition. Usually this will bring up the Task Pane over on the right side. Look for Modify Transition, set the Speed to Slow.

Now this affects the speed at which one slide transitions to the next. However, from what I gather you are trying to do, you might be referring to Custom Animation, which is the speed at which text and graphics enter and leave a slide. I can help you with that too, if that is the area of concern. (You can find it on the Task Pane by clicking on the little ▼ at the top of the Task Pane)
