Jacqueline Wilson was born Jacqueline Aitken is a British author of children's books. His books have topped the bestseller list in Britain and have won several prestigious awards. Many of his books have been adapted for television and theater.

His book The Illustrated Mum won the Guardian Children's Fiction Award and 1999 Children's Book of the Year at the British Book Awards. Apart from that the story of Tracy Beaker won the 2002 Blue Peter People's Choice Award. Their achievements include the other leading to the award of the OBE for services to literacy in schools. Additionally, in 2007 its contribution to children's literature was recognized and was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Roehampton.
