What to do…? Any good debaters here?

okay so im writing a persuasive letter for school. its about banning smoking from all public areas in my state, and im gonna be writing to my state government. the only problem is that i live in kentucky, and tobacco is like a HUGE export for our state. how could i counter an arguement that banning smoking would be bad for my state’s economy??

You could chalk up medical costs of it, but not all of that is bad for the economy. It helps doctors and hospitals.

Or you could just admit your state is going to take a hit and claim it’s worth it.
